Fostering Generational Health Through Lifestyle Changes

What if you could leave a legacy of good health and longevity to your loved ones? Is this even possible?

Generations
Generational Health
Research in the field of epigenetics, the study of how environment affects gene expression, has discovered that certain genes can be turned on or off based on the lifestyle choices we make. Family history may increase your risk for a certain condition, but everyday lifestyle choices can mitigate the risks. It is also possible to pass on better genetics to the next generation based on how well you lived prior to having children. Maybe this is all new and your children are already here, it’s never too late to begin improving their health by introducing them to life giving foods, promoting daily activity, good sleep hygiene and good coping skills.

Ways to Invest for Generational Health

· Enroll in an activity like Karate that you can do with your child on a weekly basis.
· Enroll your children in extracurricular activities like sports or other clubs where they will be active most days of the week.
· Try a meal subscription service where nutritious meals are delivered to your door that you can prepare with your children.
· Stay on top of yearly visits to the doctor and dentist.
· Make time for regular massages and pampering as well as occasional getaways.
· Prioritize quality sleep every night by adopting a set bedtime that allows for 7-8 hours of sleep.

As always, I hope this blog has been helpful and I have shared something new.

Be Well,

Nicole
